Kangaroo Paw - Interesting Notes

  • Red and Green Kangaroo Paw, was proclaimed the floral emblem of Western Australia on 9 November 1960.

  • It is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia and flowers between August and October.

  • The plant was named after the shape of the flowers, which resemble the paws of a kangaroo.

  • In the language of flowers, Kangaroo Paw is sometimes given as a gift to show warmth, affection, and positive energy.
